Job summary

Prairie View A&M University seeks a Development Officer I for Strategic Partnership and Revenue Development (TEMP) to advance KPVU Radio’s financial sustainability through partnerships, underwriting, and philanthropy. The role supports the 150th anniversary programming and broader university outreach.

Under general supervision, you will cultivate strategic partnerships, identify new revenue opportunities, and coordinate with campus units to expand community engagement while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle frequent interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategy to identify new underwriting, sponsorship, grants, and corporate partnerships.
• Leverage the university’s Sesquicentennial to foster sponsorships supporting programming and community engagement.
• Collaborate with campus partners to strengthen fundraising and expand philanthropic support.
• Build and manage a robust underwriting pipeline for on-air, live events, digital content, and multimedia platforms.
• Develop strategic partnerships with local, regional, and national organizations aligned with the station’s mission.
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities, major gifts, sponsorships, and corporate investments for public media and storytelling.
• Assist in planning fundraising campaigns and donor cultivation activities to increase support and awareness.
• Track fundraising performance and provide monthly reports to leadership for sustainable growth.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
