Contract Type: Permanent and full-time position

Place of work: German-speaking region of Switzerland, ideally in a top urban area. The work requires flexibility to travel to meet partners in all German speaking Switzerland and Team meeting in Geneva.

Switzerland for UNHCR (CH4U), the Swiss Foundation supporting the UN Refugee Agency, is on the lookout for a driven and passionate Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop our donor engagement efforts in German-speaking Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

What you will do
As our new Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will:

• Develop high-impact donor and partner engagement in German-speaking Switzerland
• Craft compelling proposals, steward relationships, and secure transformational gifts
• Generate strategic opportunities through events and tailored moments to strengthen relationships, build partnerships, and mobilize support
• Drive innovation in private philanthropy and contribute to a fast-growing Foundation
• Be the face of Switzerland for UNHCR in the private philanthropic community
• Collaborate with a passionate team in Geneva and make a tangible difference in people’s lives

What You bring
We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced (7–8+ years) in fundraising, business development or strategic partnerships
• Fluent in (Swiss) German and English (French or Italian is a plus!)
• A natural networker with top-tier communication and relationship-building skills
• Organized, autonomous, and strategic, but also a team player
• Strategic and result-oriented, with a clear focus on impact and long-term value
• Proven in working with HNWIs, corporations or foundations in a nonprofit setting — with a solid understanding of Switzerland’s philanthropic landscape
• Committed to diversity and inclusion with a strong connection to the refugee cause is a definite plus
