Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and relationship-oriented Manager, Strategic Partnerships, to drive the growth and performance of our channel and technology partnerships. This role will lead the development, execution, and optimization of strategic alliances with HR platforms, payroll vendors, and mortgage lenders. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge, a strong partnership network, and proven experience developing revenue-generating initiatives aligned with enterprise goals. You will work cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, and Operations to align partnerships with UBS's go-to-market strategy, deliver scalable solutions, and ensure measurable business outcomes.

Can be In-Office: Phoenix, AZ, Tulsa, OK, Tampa, FL or Remote

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, negotiate, and launch strategic partnerships aligned with UBS’s growth objectives.
  • Cultivate relationships with background screening firms, mortgage lenders, HRIS/payroll vendors, and related verticals.
  • Leverage your professional network to drive new partner acquisition and revenue opportunities.
  • Build and execute partner business plans, including legal agreements, financial models, GTM strategies, and operational launch.
  • Define and implement operating models to maximize partner alignment and enterprise value.
  • Lead partner-focused webinars, co-branded campaigns, and pilot initiatives.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of channel partnerships: onboarding, enablement, co-marketing, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Product, Legal, IT, and Marketing) to ensure smooth partnership delivery and alignment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key partners and internal teams during integrations and technology rollouts.
  • Create and maintain compelling partner-facing materials (pitch decks, one-pagers, outreach content).
  • Represent UBS at industry events, trade shows, and partner meetings to build brand and partnership visibility.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on partner performance metrics (revenue, growth, client referrals, conversion).
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews to assess partnership health and ROI.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the partner program to ensure relevance, scalability, and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure alignment with partner GTM strategies and lead-generation efforts.
  • Act as a thought leader and strategist for the partnership function, aligning activities with company-wide goals.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated solutions and maximize impact.
  • Mentor internal team members on best practices for partner management and enablement.
  • Contribute to the long-term roadmap and design of UBS’s partner strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, or business development within HR technology, background screening, or payroll solutions.
  • Proven success in sourcing, structuring, and closing complex, high-value strategic partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of employment verification processes, FCRA regulations, and the HR/payroll/mortgage ecosystem.
  • Strong B2B relationship-building and negotiation skills, particularly within regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from strategy to execution across cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; confident engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Technically savvy; experience working with SaaS platforms, ATS integrations, and CRM tools.
  • Comfortable working remotely with extensive travel to partner sites, industry events, and meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or in a strategic function within a high-growth company.
  • Existing relationships with background screening providers, HRIS/payroll vendors, or mortgage firms.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management and analytical capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred

Special Requirements

  • Willingness to travel as required, approximately 50%.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be proficient in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds.
