Job summary

The Rasmuson Foundation seeks a Partnership Officer to advance its mission by cultivating relationships with philanthropic, nonprofit, public, and private partners in Alaska. You will identify partnership opportunities, support strategic engagement with peer and funding organizations, and coordinate activities that raise the Foundation’s presence in the philanthropic sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing projects, partnerships, convenings and events for an organization.
• Knowledge and experience in the philanthropy sector, nonprofits, government, and tribal sectors in Alaska preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize information.
• Experience managing projects and budgets.
• Occasional travel may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supports Foundation in building and sustaining external relationships with philanthropic organizations that fund or may fund in Alaska.
• Performs grantmaking activities including reviewing proposals and writing funding recommendations for leadership.
• Manages memberships, budgets, payments, and staff access to memberships.
• Leads projects and contracts as assigned.
• Supports travel for conferences and participate in grantmaking tours with the Foundation.
