Job summary

ANSEP is seeking a Partnerships and Development Senior Director to lead a comprehensive portfolio of philanthropic, federal, corporate, Alaska Native Corporation, foundation, and other external funding activities. You’ll align development operations with executive goals, advise leadership, and manage complex multi-year partnerships.

The role requires travel across Alaska and the contiguous US, expert fundraising knowledge, and strong negotiation and communication skills to drive long-term

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field with four years of development, fundraising, grants management, external relations, or partnership leadership experience.
• Proven track record securing major gifts, corporate partnerships or federal grants.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and external partnership strategies across philanthropic, federal, corporate, and foundation funding.
• Negotiate and manage complex agreements with external partners and sponsors.
• Advise executive leadership on development strategy and risk with multi-stakeholder relationships.
• Travel extensively within Alaska and the contiguous US to build relationships and represent ANSEP.
• Supervise staff and collaborate with university units and programs.
