Cal State East Bay in Hayward seeks a Partnerships and Engagement Specialist to support the UPWARD initiative, coordinating outreach, curriculum development, and peer educator programs across campus.

The role focuses on building partnerships, organizing events, and ensuring instructional practices align with workforce development goals while driving inclusive, sustainable student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods.
• This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Responsabilités

• Develop partnerships and apprenticeship-readiness workshops; career coaching; employer mentoring.
• Coordinate placement opportunities.
• Partner with the Career Empowerment Center and the Institute for STEM Education to institutionalize apprenticeship- and workforce-development-focused curricula and opportunities.
• Organize workshops and events with external partners and advertise to faculty and students.
• Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, and ongoing support of embedded peer LAs.
• Develop curriculum in support of enhanced training for UPWARD LAs.
