Job summary

Cal State East Bay seeks a Health Educator to promote student wellness through evidence-based programs and campus partnerships. The role oversees WellNest operations, food pantry activities, and health resources, coordinating with PAW student assistants and campus committees.

You will design, implement, and evaluate wellbeing initiatives addressing basic needs, ATOD, nutrition, and sexual health, and may work evenings/weekends for outreach events; a bachelor’s in health education and relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health education or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years health education experience or combination of education and experience.
• Thorough knowledge of health education theories, research and program assessment.
• Ability to assess needs, develop plans, and evaluate health education programs.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends for outreach events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate WellNest operations, food pantry appointments, and health education activities.
• Coordinate procurement and distribution of food and wellness resources.
• Develop and mentor PAW student assistants in providing services.
• Provide training and outreach workshops; promote campus resources and wellbeing messaging.
• Maintain records and reports; support budget projections and collaboration with campus partners.
