Job summary

Embark Veterinary is seeking a Sr Associate, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development contractor to identify and grow commercial partnerships across the animal health and pet care industry. You will handle prospecting, deal execution, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management.

Based in or near Boston or remote, you will build processes, align with cross-functional teams, and travel ~10-15% as needed to drive partnership success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or related commercial role.
• Experience managing external partner relationships and internal stakeholder alignment.
• Ability to build processes from scratch and operate with ambiguity.
• Strong organizational skills with tracking and reporting across multiple partnerships.
• Willingness to travel ~10-15%.
• Based in or near Boston; remote candidates considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging brands and partnership opportunities relevant to Embark's strategy.
• Develop and pitch cross-sell and co-marketing opportunities with partner brands.
• Own partner lifecycle end-to-end: prospecting, onboarding, day-to-day relationship management, renewal, expansion.
• Serve as primary contact for partners, representing Embark's brand and goals.
• Track pipeline, milestones, and contracting progress; inform internal stakeholders.
• Translate partner needs into clear internal priorities and drive cross-team collaboration.
