Job summary

Associated Veterinary Partners is recruiting a Sr. M&A leader to own end-to-end execution from pipeline to close. You will mentor the Partnerships Manager and Analyst while coordinating diligence, LOIs, and definitive agreements with founders guiding price and structure.

This role is remote in the United States with travel for closings when needed. You will build playbooks, leverage AI tools, and work closely with the CEO/COO to advance the growth of a founder-led veterinary hospital acquisition

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of transaction experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate development.
• Healthcare services or veterinary experience is preferred.
• Self-directed and accountable with ownership of end-to-end M&A processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the pipeline of record and the weekly M&A cadence.
• Mentor the Partnerships Manager and Analyst.
• Review deal workbooks, apply transaction framework, and present recommendations to CEO/COO.
• Draft IOIs/LOIs and negotiate terms with sellers and advisors.
• Lead due diligence across multiple domains and manage external counsel and accountants.
• Support definitive agreements and own closing processes and funds flow.
• Collaborate with COO on employment agreements and post-close handoff.
• Prepare M&A materials for the board and support investor/capital planning.
• Build playbooks and leverage AI tools to accelerate deals.
