Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Principal Partner Engineer based in Tokyo, focusing on end-to-end technical lifecycle for strategic partners. You will drive pre-sales engineering, architect joint solutions, and nurture champions to accelerate Cloudflare One adoption and AI integrations.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in partner-facing roles, deep CF1/SASE knowledge, and a track record of scalable, high-impact collaborations with enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical, partner-facing experience in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or networking.
• Deep knowledge of Cloudflare One (CF1) or equivalent SASE/SSE architectures, Zero Trust, DNS, and app security.
• Proven track record building champion programs within partner organizations.
• Experience in enterprise IT, multi-cloud and hybrid environments; managing complex projects.
• Ability to manage technical deal lifecycles from pre-sales to post-sale with CF1/AI PIO.
• Strong ability to present CF1 architectures and AI use cases to leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales engineering and build technical champions within partners.
• Own TAPs for strategic partners and align with CF1 and AI adoption targets.
• Develop joint technical services and accelerate partner onboarding and validation.
• Manage technical lifecycle of deals from discovery through delivery and post-sale health.
