Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Sales Representative in California to develop and strengthen relationships with customers, contractors, and districts. You will implement selling plans and Sherplan strategies, and work with store managers to maximize sales potential.

The role requires 3+ years in paint-related sales, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel as needed. This position offers health benefits and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three (3) years of work experience as a Sales Representative selling paint, paint related products, and/or floorcovering
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and strengthen business relationships at the district level and with the customer.
• Develop a strategy of selling opportunities and identify items or product categories requiring attention.
• Develop, support and strengthen field level relationships with paint contractors (subcontractors).
• Develop and implement an annual Sherplan and a weekly selling plan with call activity documented.
• Assist in determining color and design needs and identify opportunity accounts for district management.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stocking needs to stores.
• Coordinate activity with local Sherwin-Williams staff to maximize sales potential.
• Handle customer complaints within lines of authority and manage resolution.
