Job summary

Amazon is seeking a packaging procurement leader to strategically source packaging products for North America Customer Fulfillment Procurement. You will coordinate with multiple teams, lead sourcing strategies, and drive cost savings across the category.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a data-driven approach to improve productivity in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal customers to deliver value and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years cross-functional work with tech and non-tech teams.
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvements using data and metrics.
• 2+ years of supply chain experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and SQL knowledge.
• Experience defining program requirements and using data to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts to optimize Amazon’s competitive position.
• Drive relationships with category suppliers to achieve optimal cost of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Manage category suppliers to identify, monitor and optimize opportunities.
• Act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories and inform stakeholders of strategic opportunities.
• Drive category suppliers in Supplier Relationship Management activities to mitigate risk and improve performance.
• Identify, achieve and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities.
• Align with internal customers and understand how the category is applied in the business.
