Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Outbound Planning Specialist in Phoenix, AZ to plan inbound and outbound controlled freight to distribution centers and stores. You will use the Transportation Management System to optimize schedules in alignment with Procurement, DC, and Retail teams.

Your role requires coordinating with carriers, brokers, and internal partners to maximize load efficiency, control costs, and ensure timely deliveries across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Transportation, or related field.
• Experience in transportation planning, logistics, supply chain, or freight operations.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems and optimization tools.
• Strong negotiation and cost-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, build, and optimize outbound loads to maximize cube and weight utilization.
• Execute transportation plans balancing service, cost, and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve network performance.
• Collaborate with carriers, distribution centers, and internal teams to ensure alignment.
• Maintain TMS planning and optimization parameters for freight execution.
• Support transportation bids and carrier sourcing initiatives.
