Job summary

Air Products is seeking an experienced Machinery Planner to lead outage planning and execution across assigned projects in the United States. You will manage outage scopes from planning through completion, coordinate contractors, and ensure safety and compliance with Air Products standards.

The role requires hands-on scheduling, discipline coordination, and strong communication across operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, outage planning, project execution, or engineering.
• Strong experience with industrial turnarounds/outages, piping systems, pumps, heat exchangers, hydrotesting, and pipe fabrication.
• Knowledge of P&IDs, isometric drawings, piping specifications, and fixed equipment design packages.
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3 piping codes.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead outage planning and execution through planning, scheduling, construction, and closeout.
• Develop detailed work scopes and identify required disciplines for execution.
• Create and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules with resources and durations.
• Provide daily schedule updates and progress tracking throughout outage execution.
• Develop job packages including P&IDs, BOMs, drawings, photos, tools, procedures, QC, and specs.
• Support bid events and contractor work package development.
• Manage contractors through all phases, ensuring safety and schedule adherence.
• Oversee field activities, change management, timesheet verification, and contractor performance.
• Maintain strong communication between operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractor teams.
