Job summary

Visit St. Mary’s MD, Inc. in Leonardtown, Maryland, seeks an Operations and Sales Coordinator to oversee financial health and expand tourism sales.

The role provides administrative and financial oversight, manages day-to-day accounting, and supports the Executive Director and Board of Directors. The position also serves as the group sales liaison, connecting event planners and sports leads to tourism partners.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have experience in tourism agencies or tourism-related agencies.
• Non-profit experience and financial literacy are important.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day expenses, accounting operations, administration, and sales coordination for VSMMD.
• Assist with annual budget development, implementation, and monitoring; maintain fiscal integrity.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to increase group tours and travel trade sales.
• Provide monthly financial reports and IRS filings; keep the Board informed of financial matters.
• Coordinate with tourism partners, event planners, and sports leads to drive visitation and overnight stays.
