Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. in Devens, MA is seeking an Operations Strategy & Planning Manager to design and implement a structured operating system for the executive team and drive high‑impact initiatives across the organization.

The role strengthens cross‑functional planning, accelerates strategic priorities, and aligns plans with broader business operations and financial planning. Collaboration with Finance and HR is essential to translate priorities into funded capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• MBA or comparable advanced degree is preferred.
• 4+ years in hardware, industrial, manufacturing, aerospace/defense, robotics, or other complex physical product environments.
• Familiarity with planning cadences (S&OP/SIOP, program reviews).
• Strong analytical toolkit and ability to synthesize data clearly.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Comfort with ambiguity and end-to-end ownership of workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a company-wide management operating system with clear strategy translation to funded programs.
• Define and steward governance structures for timely, accountable decisions.
• Drive portfolio-level tradeoff conversations and surface options for executive decision-making.
• Create and standardize program health metrics and reporting for leadership.
• Own cross-functional planning cadences: weekly reviews, monthly exec updates, quarterly planning.
• Develop resource visibility across engineering and operations to support scenario planning.
• Partner with Finance and HR on headcount planning and workforce modeling.
• Connect engineering and product plans to broader business planning processes.
• Act as connective tissue between leaders to resolve misalignments without escalations.
• Socialize and translate annual and long-range strategic plans into actionable roadmaps.
