Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university with related experience in lumber/building materials; strong supervision skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and communication in fast-paced operations.
• Experience in budgeting, cost controls, and scheduling to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and facilities, and lead delivery/warehousing functions.
• Control operating costs to meet annual profit targets.
• Plan and prioritize departments to ensure timely product flow to customers.
• Monitor performance through reports on on-time deliveries, shipments, and labor usage.
• Resolve process and cost issues affecting customer service and efficiency.
• Coordinate staffing and training across Warehouse, Shipping, Yard, Office and Purchasing.
• Foster cross-department collaboration to optimize stock, shipping and invoicing.
