Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the flow of materials and manage daily delivery and warehousing functions at the El Paso location. You will drive efficiency, control costs, and train staff across departments to ensure on-time fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college and 4 years of related lumber/building materials experience.
• Knowledge/experience in building materials, procurement, inventory management and supervision.
• Strong customer service, organization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the location’s facilities and equipment and operate delivery/warehousing functions.
• Budget and control operating costs to meet annual profit targets.
• Plan operations strategies and establish department priorities for smooth product flow to customers.
• Review performance with reports on on-time deliveries, back orders, and hours worked to forecast planning needs.
• Resolve issues related to processes, costs, orders, maintenance, inventory control, and systems to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate staffing with team leaders to ensure optimal use of resources and schedules.
