Job summary

LHH is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager in the Kansas City area to lead a multi-shift distribution operation. This player-coach role focuses on coaching supervisors, improving throughput, and achieving measurable results on the warehouse floor.

You will oversee inventory control, shipping/receiving, material flow, and workforce planning while driving Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across a growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of warehouse leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, or related industries.
• Experience managing supervisors and multi-shift operations.
• Strong background in inventory control, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Proven success leading turnaround, process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Experience with ERP/WMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, JDE, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Infor) and Lean/Six Sigma leadership.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree required

• Experience managing supervisors and multi-shift operations
• Strong background in inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
• Proven success leading warehouse turnaround, process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, JDE, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Infor, or similar ERP/WMS platforms
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement leadership experience
• Strong performance management, coaching, and accountability skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with daily operational execution
