Job summary

Ersilia in New York is hiring a Head of Strategy & Business Operations to join the founding team as a true operator who owns outcomes end-to-end. You'd work directly with the founders, shaping strategy and building internal systems that increase founder leverage while stepping into client-facing work when accounts need it.

The role covers four areas: internal systems and processes, business operations, recruiting and people operations, and direct client work with major AI accounts.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years in investment banking, consulting, private equity, strategy, operations, chief of staff roles, or working directly with startup leadership.
• High agency: figures things out without waiting for direction, thrives in ambiguity.
• Strong ownership and execution on substantive work (not just deck-making or process documentation).
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Client-facing confidence and professionalism. NYC 5 days in-person.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize internal systems and processes (CRM workflows, campaign operations, bug reporting pipelines).
• Own critical business operations: payroll, contracts, onboarding, legal/tax coordination, vendor management.
• Lead recruiting and people operations end-to-end (candidate sourcing, screening, hiring process management).
• Work directly with clients (Cursor and other leading AI companies) on campaign performance and account health.
• Create scalable playbooks and operational infrastructure that increase founder leverage.
