Job summary

Alivo in Portland, ME is seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO, driving cross-functional execution and alignment across Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, and Leadership. You will translate strategy into actionable plans and manage priorities to keep critical initiatives on track.

You will optimize decision-making, build scalable systems, and partner across departments to support a high-growth business in a fast-paced environment. This is a high-impact operator role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA preferred.
• 3–7+ years in Operations, Chief of Staff, Business Operations, Revenue Operations, FP&A, Consulting, or similar role.
• Strong project management and cross-functional execution experience.
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate with high ownership.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive Cross-Functional Execution: work directly with CEO to execute strategic initiatives and maintain accountability across teams.
• Own Business Operations: support day-to-day operational functions and oversee payroll coordination and relationships with vendors.
• Support Financial Operations & Reporting: ensure accurate reporting and visibility; assist with budgeting and performance tracking.
• Project Management & Strategic Initiatives: own special projects from planning through execution across departments.
• Build Leadership Visibility & Decision Support: prepare internal reports, dashboards, and leadership summaries.
• Collaborate Across the Organization: act as a central point of coordination for high-priority initiatives.
