Job summary

Cogent is seeking a Business Operations & Strategy Manager to join a fully distributed corporate team. You will bridge corporate strategy with rigorous operational execution, handling everything from efficiency audits to talent strategy and brand ecosystem initiatives.

You will partner with founders and executives to drive high-priority initiatives, perform operational reviews, and contribute to talent and people operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in consulting, investment banking, product management, or early-stage startup roles.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity with minimal structure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with good judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven relationship-building across technical and non-technical teams.
• High ownership mindset with bias toward action.

Responsibilities

• Partner with founders and leaders to drive strategic and operational initiatives.
• Conduct operational reviews to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to talent strategy, hiring processes, and people operations projects.
• Help build Cogent's community and brand through events, partnerships, content, and ecosystem engagement.
• Take ownership of emerging priorities and drive them to impact.
