Job summary

Cohere is seeking an intermediate level BizOps Lead to support the Strategy & Business Operations team, focusing on strategy, corporate development, and cross-functional projects. The role reports to the Head of BizOps and emphasizes strategy, partnerships, and growth initiatives.

In this position you will influence decision-making across product, GTM, and R&D, build financial models, optimize pricing, and contribute to fundraising and investor relations.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of top tier investment banking / investing experience, ideally with a focus on software, technology, or digital infrastructure.
• 2-3 years of top tier consulting experience, ideally with a focus on software / technology; further experience in BizOps, product, or investing is also valued.
• Have some technical background (e.g., CS, EE, Applied Math, or related undergraduate degree, software engineering internships)
• Are a clear communicator with a high-ownership mentality and bias to action
• Are a problem solver: can operate at a level 4-5 on this hierarchy

Responsibilities

• Influence strategic decision-making by collaborating with and building consensus among leaders across the organization, including product, GTM, and research and engineering
• Optimize pricing and packaging, ensuring that the company's offerings are both attractive to customers and profitable
• Build financial models and analyses to evaluate new and existing opportunities
• Contribute to corporate development activities: fundraising, strategic partnerships, investor relations, M&A, etc.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis to anticipate and respond to emerging trends and to identify new opportunities for innovation and growth
