Cogent is seeking a Business Operations & Strategy Manager to join a fully distributed corporate team. You will bridge corporate strategy with rigorous operational execution, handling everything from efficiency audits to talent strategy and brand ecosystem initiatives.

You will partner with founders and executives to drive high-priority initiatives, perform operational reviews, and contribute to talent and people operations.

We are seeking an ambitious, analytical, and highly versatile Business Operations & Strategy Manager to join our fully distributed corporate team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a cross-functional operator, bridging the gap between high-level corporate strategy and rigorous operational execution. You will work on everything from structural efficiency audits and talent strategy to brand ecosystems-turning ambiguous, high-stakes business challenges into structured, impactful operations.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required

• Experience & Professional Background: 2-4 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, product management, or early-stage startup / founder roles.
• Ambiguity Navigation: Highly comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with minimal structure.
• Analytical & Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with excellent judgment.
• Communication Polish: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of synthesizing complex business problems into clean, scannable frameworks.
• Collaborative Relationship-Building: Strong relationship-builder who works well across technical and non-technical teams.
• Execution DNA: High ownership mindset with a bias towards action.

Preferred

• Foundational understanding of core SaaS/tech business models and venture-backed corporate growth scaling patterns.
• Experience setting up internal data analytics infrastructure or leveraging modern operational toolings (such as Notion, Slack, Jira, and CRM dashboards).
• Prior experience working effectively as part of a fully remote, geographically distributed corporate team.

• Salary Range: $105,000-140,000 USD base structure + Performance Bonus, Equity Shares, Remote Workspace Allowances, and Premium Corporate Health, Dental, and Vision Benefits.
