Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Chief of Staff reporting to the CEO to partner with the Executive Leadership Team as the company scales. This senior, individual contributor role focuses on translating strategy into action, shaping executive planning, and delivering clear, data-driven materials for leadership discussions.

Ideal candidates bring deep cross-functional experience, executive presence, and the ability to influence at the highest levels without people management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience in strategy, operations, consulting, finance, product operations, or executive advisory work.
• Demonstrated success partnering closely with executive leaders and influencing at the highest levels.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear narratives.
• Strong analytical capabilities and comfort with SaaS metrics and executive-level data.
• Ability to manage multiple high-impact workstreams with sound judgment and prioritization.
• High discretion, integrity, and emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to drive company-wide strategic initiatives from conception through execution.
• Shape operating cadence, own OKRs and leadership planning processes.
• Design planning frameworks for effective executive decision-making.
• Support annual and long-range planning cycles with synthesized insights.
• Lead preparation of executive materials including Board and ELT presentations.
• Develop executive dashboards and ensure metrics are accurate and actionable.
• Design agendas for executive meetings and off-sites; capture decisions and next steps.
