Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Business Operations Advisor to support the Network Operations Team. The role focuses on operational planning, workforce planning, reporting, data and budget analysis, and special projects to improve efficiency and outcomes.

You will partner with leaders to develop departmental plans, manage events, oversee budget processes, and drive process improvements across the division. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
• 3+ years of experience in related field
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field

Responsibilities

• Facilitate planning of strategic goals and development of departmental/divisional operational plans.
• May produce segment business plans and analysis under guidance from Segment Lead.
• Coordinate and facilitate departmental/divisional events to be more effective and outcomes based.
• Assist with workforce planning, staffing models, and tracking hires by budget and competency.
• Aid in adoption of SOPs and educate others about them.
• Lead change management work for business and process improvements.
• Handle special projects and evaluate opportunities to reduce costs or improve efficiencies.
• Review industry literature and brief leadership on current issues.
• Lead engagements with external entities and coordinate data gathering and research.
