Job summary

Prime Healthcare’s Olympia Fields Hospital seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to lead all nursing and designated patient care functions across the hospital. The role oversees planning, implementing and evaluating nursing practice, ensuring 24/7 accountability for care quality and resource management.

The CNO will influence regulatory compliance, staff development, and patient safety while reporting to executive leadership and participating in governance discussions.

Qualifications

• Active and current RN license in the state of practice.
• Academic nursing degree required; postgraduate degree or plan to obtain one is required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
• At least five years of progressive facility management experience as Nursing Director.
• Minimum of two years leadership/administrative experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for nursing and patient care services.
• Ensure high quality, safe nursing care and staff competence.
• Represent nursing on the governing board and medical staff leadership meetings.
