Job summary

Accenture seeks a New Business Development Director to shape, negotiate, and close large deals in the insurance sector. You will lead multi-disciplinary opportunities from pursuit to close, build strategic client relationships, and collaborate with sales and account teams to drive growth.

The role demands deep experience in direct sales with high-quota performance, digital-first/AI-driven selling, and global execution across professional services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience shaping, negotiating, and closing large deals in the professional services space within the insurance industry.
• Minimum of 10 years Sales Pursuit Management experience
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in direct sales with quotas of $5 - $25M+ dependent on industry and portfolio with strong Agency/consulting experience
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a digital first, data and AI led, B2B or B2C, global organization.
• Minimum 4 years experience selling to the insurance industry vertical

Responsibilities

• Originate, shape, and transact sales opportunities.
• Proactively generate and build client relationships, qualify, solution, negotiate, close.
• Articulate a compelling value proposition aligned to client imperatives.
• Create a vision for deal outcomes through listening and storytelling.
• Commercial shaping of multi-discipline transactions.
• Influence client selection criteria and evaluation processes.
• Support and lead business negotiations and deal strategy.
• Coordinate with Sales leadership, Client Account leads, and subject matter experts.
• Navigate deal approvals with firm leadership.
• Identify complex problems and create solutions aligned to objectives.
