Job summary

Basic American Foods is seeking a National Account Manager for Strategic Chain Accounts to drive results across restaurant chain customers. This fully remote role builds pipelines, develops account strategies, and closes opportunities with national chains.

You will manage existing bases and hunt new business, negotiate contracts, collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations, and travel up to 50% as needed. Competitive base salary plus incentive plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in foodservice sales to national restaurant chain accounts.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, creative, and driven to achieve results.
• Strong analytical and account planning skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Monitor account performance and provide updates on key metrics, forecasts, and trends; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships at assigned accounts; conduct periodic business reviews.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with key decision-makers for profitable partnerships.
• Collaborate with Field sales managers on pull-through programs when needed.
