Job summary

Essity is seeking a Transportation Manager to join our North America Distribution team in Wisconsin. You will oversee a network of nearly 100 carriers and more than $100M in annual transportation spend, optimizing service levels and costs across road and rail modes.

Responsibilities include sourcing strategies, carrier bids, and ensuring on-time delivery of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging. Located in Neenah/Appleton area, with collaboration across internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years transportation experience with procurement and planning knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Experience working in a matrix organization; international contacts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor transportation KPI's, explain deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Lead cost optimization projects and lane optimization initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts and provide cost inputs for AP and budgeting.
• Develop carrier relationships and set up contracts with carriers.
• Visit market facilities to harmonize transport planning processes.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics, Warehousing, and Planning teams.
• Collaborate with SmartHub planning to deploy approved carriers efficiently.
• Support regional and global logistics leadership as needed.
