Essity North America Inc. in Appleton, WI is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee a large carrier network and multimodal spend, developing sourcing strategies, managing bids and contracts, and ensuring on-time delivery across North America.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transportation experience with understanding of procurement and planning processes.
• Minimum Bachelor of business administration or similar preferred.
• Capable of working in a matrix organization with cross-functional collaboration; international contacts preferred.
• Innovative capabilities with strategic thinking and foresight.
• Strong business analysis skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor transportation service KPIs, explain deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and manage projects for transportation cost optimization and lane optimization.
• Negotiate transportation contracts and provide input on costs for AP and Budgeting.
• Develop new carrier relationships and set up contracts.
• Visit market facilities to ensure site operations and transport sourcing planning harmonization.
• Liaise with Customer Service, Customer Logistics, Warehousing, Planning and other internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SmartHub planning to deploy approved carriers for service level and efficiency.
• Perform other essential responsibilities as deemed by Regional Distribution Manager or Global Logistics.
