Job summary

The City of Boynton Beach is seeking an experienced HR leader to oversee planning, organizing, and implementing the City’s Human Resources programs. This role acts as Director or Assistant Director as needed, supervising staff and driving recruitment, classification and compensation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, personnel management, business administration, public administration or closely related field.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible HR experience in recruitment and classification for municipal government.
• Possess or obtain within one year of hire PSHRA-HR professional certification.
• Possess or obtain within fourteen days of hire and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversees HR operations including recruitment, classification, and compensation.
• Supervises HR staff, provides coaching and performance feedback.
• Coordinates HR processes with department leadership and safety.
• Conducts compensation analyses and salary studies for new hires.
• Develops recruitment strategies and coordinates job fairs and events.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
