Job summary

The Town of Brookline is seeking a Supervisor of Fleet & Facilities Services to oversee the repair, maintenance, and acquisition of municipal vehicles and equipment, including Water & Sewer assets, and to manage DPW facilities and satellite locations.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, 5–7 years in municipal public works with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, and a valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, automotive technology, or related field preferred.
• Five to seven years of municipal public works experience, including at least three years in a supervisory role.
• A valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repair, maintenance, and acquisition of Town vehicles and equipment, including Water & Sewer assets.
• Manage safety, upkeep, and repair of DPW facilities and satellite locations.
• Administer a fleet management program tracking service and replacement cycles.
• Develop policy and implement technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability.
• Participate in long-range financial and capital planning and grant administration.
• Oversee budget, purchasing, and inventory controls for fleet and facilities.
