Job summary

Town of Brookline is seeking a Supervisor of Fleet & Facilities Services to oversee the repair, maintenance, and acquisition of Town vehicles and equipment, including Water & Sewer assets, and to manage DPW facilities and satellite locations.

The role requires a Class A CDL with air brake endorsement, 5–7 years municipal public works experience with 3 years in a supervisory role, and a degree in business administration or automotive fields. Excellent leadership and budget skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Municipal public works experience 5–7 years, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in business or automotive fields.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, property management, and database operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repair, maintenance, and acquisition of Town vehicles and equipment.
• Manage security, upkeep, and repair of DPW facilities and satellite locations.
• Administer fleet management program tracking service and replacement cycles.
• Develop policies, research best practices, and implement new technologies.
• Prepare budgets, purchase orders, and monitor inventory controls.
• Supervise staff, participate in hiring and payroll, ensure safety and compliance.
• Coordinate with staff and agencies; support grant administration.
