Job summary

Rose Associates seeks an Associate Director of Multifamily Operations to oversee a diverse residential portfolio, develop high-performing management teams, and strengthen owner relationships across communities.

Role focuses on optimizing daily operations, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring high resident satisfaction while maintaining compliance and strong financial performance. Travel between properties is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years of residential property management experience, including a minimum of 7 years in a senior management role.
• Experience managing or supporting affordable housing communities.
• Demonstrated success leading property management teams, overseeing multifamily operations, and resolving complex operational challenges.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and knowledge of GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Drive portfolio performance by partnering with property managers to optimize daily operations and evaluate financial performance.
• Prepare and review owner reporting packages, including budgets, business plans, and monthly financial and operational reports.
• Support asset management initiatives related to acquisitions and dispositions, communicating material developments, risks, and opportunities to ownership.
• Review capital replacement plans and monitor execution to support long-term asset value and operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to property management teams; oversee recruitment and employee development.
• Collaborate across departments to align operational priorities and achieve portfolio-wide objectives.
• Address resident concerns and improve resident satisfaction, retention, and renewal programs.
• Collaborate with marketing to evaluate strategy effectiveness and adjustments.
