Job summary

Florence Copper seeks a Buyer to secure equipment, materials and services for plant operations, drilling, construction, maintenance and site activities. This onsite role requires strong vendor management, cost control and timely deliveries.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance and finance to forecast needs, issue RFPs, evaluate suppliers and manage contracts, ensuring health, safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with scopes of supply, RFPs, quotations, POs and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers for mining equipment, materials and services.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships for competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
• Monitor lead times to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance and finance to forecast needs and align purchasing plans.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, cost and responsiveness; drive improvements.
• Maintain procurement records and generate reports on costs, supplier performance and expediting.
• Stay informed about trade delays and external factors affecting deliveries.
• Ensure procurement complies with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
