Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to develop and execute capital sourcing strategies for MHE systems. You will partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive value across One-MHS and related teams.

The role requires strong data-driven decision making, extensive procurement and category management experience, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams globally.

Qualifications

• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Bachelor's degree, or MBA in related field.
• 5+ years of strategic sourcing and category management in indirect categories.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, contract management, lease administration or operations.
• Experience modeling complex business scenarios.
• Experience in data analysis to inform decision-making.
• Experience collaborating and influencing multiple teams across organizations.
• Experience presenting designs and collaborating with all levels of the organization.
• Experience in procurement and purchasing, including supplier relationship management.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement with focus on equipment/industrial automation/robotics/complex categories.
• Experience working with technical teams on new product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category sourcing strategies for equipment and components.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing events, negotiate with suppliers, and execute contracts.
• Manage internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global and local teams to deploy strategies.
• Influence suppliers’ roadmaps and design decisions to align with procurement goals.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects to drive productivity and innovation.
• Monitor market trends and industry best practices to inform strategies.
• Develop and maintain category-specific metrics and reporting.
