Amazon is seeking a Sr. Category Manager to strategically source products and services within our Global Procurement Organization, Equipment Category with a focus on MHE (Material Handling Equipment). The role partners with multiple teams and suppliers to develop and execute category sourcing strategies and deliver savings.

The candidate will lead cross-functional teams, drive cost optimization, and communicate results to senior leadership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supply chain experience.
• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Responsabilités

• Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts to optimize Amazon’s competitive position.
• Drive relationships with category suppliers to achieve cost of ownership targets and continuous improvement.
• Manage category suppliers to identify, monitor and optimize opportunities.
• Act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories and anticipate strategic opportunities for stakeholders.
• Drive category suppliers in Supplier Relationship Management to mitigate risk and add value.
• Identify, achieve and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities.
• Align with internal customers and understand the business application of the category.
