Job summary

REI Co-op is seeking a Business Systems/Process role to support Merchandising & Co-op Brands. You will design processes, document data flows, and collaborate with IT and business partners to deliver new capabilities.

You will prepare requirements, user stories, and test cases, and help train users on changes. The role emphasizes stakeholder coordination, backlog grooming, and ensuring project milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Product Design, Retail, Supply Chain, Operations or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in merchandising, product design & development.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Jira.
• Exceptional critical thinking, business process, communication, and business acumen.
• Demonstrated experience with facilitating end-user workshops and working sessions.
• Sets effective work goals, establishing priorities and planning ahead to produce quality work.
• Demonstrates project management skills including ability to create action plans and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to business process design workshops. Advocates for business users. Understands and enables best practices across merchandising disciplines.
• Partners with technology teams to support Merchandising & Co-op Brands strategies.
• Supports use of industry best practices, company programs, procedures, and methods.
• Develops and maintains knowledge and documentation of current and future processes.
• Prepare requirements, functional specs, user stories, and RFPs.
• May help design or develop tools for the division or manage systems used by teams.
• Supports small to medium projects with cross-divisional partners.
• Participates in project status meetings, stand-ups, sprints, and demos.
