Job summary

A leading outdoor retail organization is seeking a Senior Merchandising Analyst to enhance their private label product offerings. You will use data analytics to find actionable insights, develop dashboards, and collaborate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience, strong SQL skills, and a background in merchandising. Overview

As a Senior Merchandising Analyst – Co-op Brands, you will shape how we service our customers and members through our private label product offering. Partner with product strategy, planning, sourcing, finance, customer insights, and other stakeholders to understand business needs, align on data and insights, communicate across the organization, and embed advanced analytics into regular business processes.

Your work includes finding actionable insights in data, building and maintaining dashboards, and structuring datasets. Success means integrating data driven insights, business modeling, and measurement frameworks into existing business processes to drive transformative co-op brand strategies.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Uses data to find insights, issues, opportunities, trends, and root causes. Communicates strategic recommendations to Co-op Brands partners, cross‑functional teams, and leadership.
  • Creates, maintains, and improves suite of Sigma dashboards and underlying data architecture. Reviews results in relation to various benchmarks. Communicates results to co‑op brands stakeholders and leaders.
  • Develops advanced analytics and tools to support multiple Co-op Brands roles.
  • Designs, builds, develops, automates, and maintains datasets to support analysis and insights using SQL.
  • Understands Co-op Brands processes and milestones to proactively support business needs.
  • Initiates and maintains effective partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Manages projects, scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in analytics, preferably experience in private label, omni-channel retail, and/or merchandising.
  • Proven business understanding and exceptional ability to evaluate, interpret results, and make recommendations to all organization levels.
  • Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.
  • Proven experience building alignment and structure from ambiguity.
  • Ability to autonomously set project goals, establish priorities, and plan appropriately to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Exceptional SQL skills. Basic understanding of statistical methods. Advanced data visualization application. Experience with Sigma preferred.
  • Dedication to quality and accuracy worthy of all audiences, from executive level to individual contributors.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like statistics, economics, business, engineering, or math. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
