Gift of Life Michigan seeks a Medical Examiner/Funeral Home Liaison to cultivate and strengthen relationships with Medical Examiner offices and funeral homes within the service area, ensuring collaboration that supports donation opportunities while respecting customer needs.

The role involves contract development, data analysis, stakeholder education, and participation in industry events. Strong communication, organizational, and office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the essential duties (healthcare related) or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and work diplomatically with key stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with Medical Examiner offices and Funeral Homes throughout the assigned service area through outreach, education, service recovery, and relationship development activities.
• Develop, negotiate, and maintain working agreements and contracts with Medical Examiner offices in accordance with Michigan law.
• Serve as a resource to Gift of Life staff regarding Medical Examiner and Funeral Home processes, relationships, concerns, and operational issues including training and meetings.
• Analyze and utilize operational, referral, authorization, and donation data to identify opportunities for stakeholder education, process improvement, and relationship development.
• Prepare and present stakeholder-specific data, outcomes, metrics, and performance reports to Medical Examiner offices, Funeral Homes, and internal stakeholders to support collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Maintain programs that generate electronic referrals of non-hospital deaths.
• Participate in ongoing Medical Examiner and Funeral Home educational programs, displays, conferences, and exhibits.
• Meet annual performance goals and objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
