Job summary

Airo Mechanical, a leader in HVAC and plumbing for new construction, is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to analyze project specifications and produce accurate cost estimates. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and financial objectives.

The role involves reviewing plans, performing on-site data collection, takeoffs, and developing comprehensive bid proposals with cost breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing project plans, specs, and requirements.
• Ability to perform on-site data collection for accurate estimates.
• Familiarity with value engineering and cost benchmarking.
• Experience preparing bid proposals and cost breakdowns.
• Ability to identify cost risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specs to understand scope of work.
• Conduct on-site visits to gather conditions and constraints.
• Complete takeoffs and prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Develop bid proposals with scope, cost breakdown, and qualifications.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors; establish supplier relationships and pricing.
