Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical estimating experience in construction.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Trimble or similar) and MS Office.
• Strong analytical and math skills; excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specs to define scope of work.
• Conduct on-site visits to gather data and verify conditions.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Provide input on value engineering opportunities and risk factors.
• Develop bid proposals with cost breakdowns and qualifications.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes and secure competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with bid team and project stakeholders to align estimates with goals.
• Communicate clearly with team to ensure alignment on costs and project needs.
