Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years of experience working on DoD programs.
• 5+ years of experience developing architecture models.
• 5+ years of experience with model‑based systems engineering (MBSE).
• Direct experience developing or managing ICDs for complex systems.
• Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems and flight hardware (e.g., avionics, payloads, RF comms, power, GNC, thermal, propulsion).
• Ability to read and create schematics, interface diagrams, and data communication structures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small technical team.
• Proficiency in systems engineering tools such as Cameo, DOORS, MATLAB.
• Proficiency in modeling languages such as SysML, UPDM, DoDAF.
• Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Work on-site in a secure facility.
• Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI required; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Satellite Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for spacecraft, ground systems, payloads, and cross‑system interfaces in an MBSE environment.
• Collaborate with Configuration Management on Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
• Create interface diagrams, data dictionaries, message formats, command and telemetry mappings, and system‑level interface descriptions.
• Identify interface risks and drive technical issue resolution across engineering teams.
• Support system integration and test activities by providing authoritative interface documentation and clarification.
• Ensure documentation complies with best practices, program standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a technical SME reviewing prime contract change proposals.
• Manage and coordinate Interface Control Working Groups (ICWGs) for consistent stakeholder communication.
• Work with the MSEIT modeling team to align models with the technical baseline, including ICDs and requirement flowdown.
• Develop acquisition and technical requirements‑related briefings, plans, papers, and other documentation to support government decision making.
• Collaborate with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and U.S. Space Force members.
