Job summary

SAIC seeks a Strategic MBSE Requirements ICD Lead to join our team in El Segundo, CA. The role supports MILSATCOM systems with IA/Cybersecurity and MBSE interface documentation across spacecraft, ground, and cross-system interfaces.

You will develop ICDs, data dictionaries, and interface diagrams, lead ICWGs, coordinate with prime contractors and government customers, and ensure documentation meets standards.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field plus extensive DoD sector experience.
• 8+ years in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years MBSE and architecture modeling experience.
• Direct experience developing/ managing ICDs for complex systems.
• Proficiency with Cameo, DOORS, MATLAB and modeling languages (SysML, UPDM, DoDAF).
• Strong writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of ICDs for spacecraft, ground systems, payloads and cross-system interfaces in an MBSE environment.
• Coordinate with Configuration Management for ERBs and CCBs.
• Create interface diagrams, data dictionaries, message formats, command/telemetry mappings.
• Identify interface risks and drive issue resolution across teams.
• Support system integration and testing with authoritative interface documentation.
• Ensure documentation complies with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review Prime contract Change Proposals as SME.
• Coordinate ICWGs and maintain cross-stakeholder communication.
• Align models with technical baseline including ICDs and flow-down requirements.
