Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Materials Planner for Fan Systems in Round Rock, TX. The role onsite involves translating orders into production and shipping plans with contract manufacturers, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in materials planning, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong ERP/MRP experience (NetSuite/Oracle) with advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in materials or production planning.
• Experience planning materials and scheduling in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of BOMs, lead times, safety stock, and MRP logic.
• Experience coordinating requirements with contract manufacturers.
• ERP/MRP experience, preferably NetSuite or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills for large data analyses.

Responsibilities

• Translate orders and forecasts into production and shipping schedules.
• Review supply/demand exceptions and create action plans.
• Develop weekly/monthly production requirements with contract manufacturers.
• Monitor schedule adherence and identify gaps requiring recovery actions.
• Plan replenishment for in-house and contracted motors based on demand.
• Coordinate with buyers, logistics, and internal teams to ensure on-time availability.
• Maintain visibility of on-hand and future material requirements.
• Assess custom orders for material availability and production feasibility.
• Use ERP/MRP and Excel tools to analyze data and support scheduling decisions.
• Identify shortages early and elevate risks to avoid delays.
