Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled Material Planner to coordinate and expedite material flow, plan production needs, and optimize inventory. The role involves executing with guidance, leading small teams, and collaborating with business leadership across SPB and EB levels.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain and a minimum of five years’ manufacturing/supply chain experience, plus strong Excel skills and SAP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing and/or supply chain experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SAP established.

Responsibilities

• Manage master planning, material processes and systems.
• Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.
• Tracks and expedites orders to meet delivery schedules.
• Uses MRP system to respond to directives in a timely manner.
• Supports supplier payment by resolving PO vs. invoice discrepancies.
• Facilitates offshore shipments with approved freight forwarders.
• Evaluates demand validity and resolves irregularities.
• Optimize inventory and process improvements.
• Collaborates with SPB and EB leadership.
• Lead cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
