Strategic Staffing Solutions seeks a Materials Management Advisor – Material Coordination to lead material demand planning and coordination across procurement and operations in a Houston-area setting.

The role focuses on aligning processes with Materials Management standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet business requirements. Strong ERP experience and stakeholder influence are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field and experience with materials management processes.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a matrix organization.
• Ability to influence leadership and stakeholders to drive supply chain outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Capture material demand with operating functions and coordinate supply with Procurement and Materials Management teams.
• Apply demand planning and coordination tools to improve planning and scheduling processes.
• Identify, communicate, and prioritize risk mitigation for material demand planning and coordination.
• Manage Materials Management service provider performance per agreed scopes of service.
• Develop performance measures and monitor annual plans for the team.
• Ensure resources, tools, systems, and enablers needed to execute the strategy are available.
• Support identification and management of excess and surplus inventory.
• Provide strategic direction and align activities with Procurement priorities.
• Empower team members to develop plans and execute material coordination activities.
