Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an Materials Management Advisor (MC) for onsite work in Schriever, LA. You will establish material planning and coordination processes, working with line stakeholders to compile material demand and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or other relevant technical discipline.
• MM related process and systems knowledge.
• Experience working with ERP systems and various reporting tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills effective communication, and ability to work within a functional matrix organization and influence stakeholders.
• Strong commercial skills and ability to make effective decisions based on economics.
• Understanding of equipment and materials employed in energy business.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, inventory modelling techniques or inventory accounting.
• Field experience in inventory control, warehouse, or inbound logistics in energy sector or other industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with operating functions and entities to capture material demand and coordinate the supply with procurement and MM teams to meet business requirements.
• Apply demand planning and coordination tools to improve planning and scheduling processes.
• Identify, communicate and prioritize risk mitigation activities related to Material Demand Planning and Coordination.
• Manage MM service providers’ performance per service scope.
• Develop measures and monitor annual performance and resource plan for the team.
• Support identification of excess and surplus inventory.
• Provide strategic direction to align team activities with procurement priorities.
• Understand and conform to demand planning and coordinating requirements.
• Develop resource plans ensuring enablers are available to deliver the strategy.
• Support continuous improvement of supply chain performance.
• Participate in the Material Coordination Discipline network.
• Drive process and data standards in line with Process & Systems guidance.

Duration: 12+ months with possibility of longer term extensions

Pay Rate: $80/hr on W2

No C2C or 1099 - Must be able to work directly on our W2 with no 3rd party involved!

Role:

The Materials Management Advisor (Material Coordination - MC) is accountable to establish systematic material planning and coordination processes following OMS and Materials Management common process.

Responsible for working with Line stakeholders to compile demand for materials in support of on-going activities and coordinating work with procurement and other materials management teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to meet business requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

Work with all operating functions and entities to capture material demand and coordinate the supply of materials with procurement and MM teams to meet the business requirements in effective and efficient manner.

Responsible for the use and application of demand planning and coordination tools and techniques to support and improve demand planning and scheduling processes.

The MC Advisor is responsible to identify, communicate and prioritize risk mitigation activities related to Material Demand Planning and Coordination.

Management of MM Service providers’ performance in accordance with agreed scope of service.

Develop measures and monitor annual performance and resource plan for the team, ensuring that all enablers required are available to deliver the strategy.

Understanding of equipment and materials employed in energy business.
