Job summary

RTX in Durham, NH is seeking a senior Materials/Inventory Planner to own the end-to-end inventory plan, ensure on-time delivery to production, and lead continuous improvement across material planning and fulfillment. The role requires a university degree with 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years, plus SAP experience and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree and 8+ years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• SAP Experience
• Capacity Planning or equivalent experience
• Leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the inventory plan (Raw, WIP, Finished Goods) aligned with AOP/SFP objectives.
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials to production lines and customers by managing planning, staging, and fulfillment processes.
• Support quarterly analysis of Excess & Obsolete (E&O), PFEP, EMP and Entitlement actions.
• Coordinate with the manufacturing team to manage changes in production priorities or order modifications.
• Champion continuous improvement for material planning, receiving, storage, staging, and WIP control.
• Assess workload requirements to ensure adequate staffing and development of employees.
• Manage the material strategy to support New Product Introduction to End of Life.
• Oversee end-to-end materials process including planning, scheduling, logistics and delivery commitment.
• Accountable for inventory control (cycle counting) and meeting site targets.
• Participate in manufacturing automation, material release, handling, kitting and movement strategies.
• Support site SIOP reviews and monitor key metrics aligned with goals.
